The gods said: “By your gracious favor all creatures—of the various kinds embodied in the world—grow and flourish. When thus sustained, those beings in turn sustain the dwellers of heaven by offerings of oblations for gods and for ancestors.”

A cycle of mutual support sustains the cosmos: divine grace enables beings to flourish, and flourishing beings uphold the gods and ancestors through rightful offerings (havya and kavya), aligning human life with dharma.
The gods speak in praise, acknowledging that all living beings prosper through the Lord’s favor, and that humans—when thriving—maintain the heavenly beings by performing sacrificial and ancestral rites.
