तमग्निमिव वस्त्रेण कथं छादितवत्यसि । जिनकी भुजाओंके प्रतापसे हम सब ओरसे संतप्त रहते थे, कपड़ेमें ढकी हुई आगके समान उन्हें अबतक आपने कैसे छिपा रखा था?

Transliteration

tam agnim iva vastreṇa kathaṃ chāditavaty asi |

Translation

Vaiśampāyana said: “How could you have kept him concealed so long—like fire covered by a cloth? By the might of whose arms we were scorched from every side, how did you hide him until now, as though he were a flame wrapped up in fabric?”
