Shloka 176

शल्यस्य सेनापत्याभ्युपगमः | Śalya’s Acceptance of Command

तथा विवसनां दीनां स्मरन्त्यद्यापि पाण्डवा: | 'ट्रौपदी एक वस्त्र पहने हुए थी, रजस्वला थी। उस अवस्थामें जो वह भरी सभामें लायी गयी और दुःशासनने सब लोगोंके सामने जो उसे महान्‌ क्लेश पहुँचाया, उसका जो वस्त्र उतारा गया और उसे जो दयनीय दशाको पहुँचा दिया गया, उन सब बातोंको पाण्डव आज भी याद रखते हैं

tathā vivasanāṃ dīnāṃ smaranty adyāpi pāṇḍavāḥ |

Sañjaya said: Even now the Pāṇḍavas remember how Draupadī was left unclothed and brought to a pitiable state—an outrage inflicted in the royal assembly that became a lasting wound to their sense of justice and honor, and a moral cause that continued to fuel their resolve.
