Transliteration

evaṁ sa kṛtvā samayaṁ dṛṣṭvā nīhāram īśvaraḥ

Translation

Thus, having fulfilled the agreed compact and observing the misty veil that had arisen, the Lord acted in accordance with the moment—mindful of the pledged terms and the changing conditions on the battlefield.
