Shloka 12

कारणं श्रुतमस्माभि: शापश्चैव श्रुतो5नघे । करिष्यन्ति तु यत्‌ प्राप्त सर्व एव तपोधना:,“निष्पाप सरस्वती! हमने शाप और उसका कारण सुन लिया। ये सभी तपोधन इस विषयमें समयोचित कर्तव्यका पालन करेंगे”

kāraṇaṃ śrutam asmābhiḥ śāpaś caiva śruto 'naghe | kariṣyanti tu yat prāptaṃ sarva eva tapodhanāḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana said: “O blameless one, we have heard the cause, and we have also heard the curse. All these ascetics, rich in austerity, will now do what the occasion demands—acting in the fitting way in response to what has come to pass.”
