Educational Q&A

Even in war, human bonds and responsibility persist: some prepare for continued duty by donning armor, while others attend to fallen or exhausted kinsmen, bringing them to the safety of the camp—showing compassion and care amid violence.

Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that the warriors are in disarray and response: a portion readies itself for further fighting by putting on armor, while others gather their brothers/comrades and lay them down in the camp, indicating casualties or the need to tend the wounded.
