Sañjaya said: Displaying in action the many kinds of martial instructions he had received from Droṇa, that great-souled warrior poured forth showers of arrows—varied in pattern, swift in flight, and perfectly executed—revealing disciplined skill even amid the violence of battle.

The verse highlights the ethical weight of disciplined training: knowledge received from a teacher (Droṇa) is validated by controlled, excellent execution. Even in war, mastery is portrayed as the fruit of instruction, practice, and adherence to one’s kṣatriya craft.
Sañjaya describes a great warrior demonstrating the diverse techniques learned from Droṇa by unleashing a rapid, well-aimed, and varied barrage of arrows on the battlefield.
