नानद्यमानं निनदैर्मनोज्ञै- वददित्रगीतस्तुतिनृत्यहासै: । सर्वेडन्तरिक्ष॑ ददृशुर्मनुष्या: खस्थाश्न तद् विस्स्मपनीयरूपम्
nāndyamānaṃ ninadair manojñair vadad-itra-gīta-stuti-nṛtya-hāsaiḥ | sarve ’ntarikṣaṃ dadṛśur manuṣyāḥ kha-sthāś ca tad vismapanīya-rūpam ||
Sañjaya said: With delightful sounds—voices, instrumental music, songs of praise, dancing, and laughter—it resounded. All the people beheld it in the sky; those stationed aloft too saw that wondrous, astonishing form, stirring amazement amid the grim course of war.
