Sanjaya said: “O King, in that (chapter/section) were set forth the great weapons—variegated and radiant—of four kinds; indeed, divine in nature, and duly arranged and taught by Drona, the heroic best of Brahmins.”
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the disciplined transmission of power: even divine weaponry is to be conferred and organized through proper instruction and rule (vihita), underscoring the ethical weight of martial knowledge and the authority of the guru in regulating it.
Sanjaya, reporting to the king, indicates that this section concerns the bestowal/description of mighty and divine weapons—fourfold in type—associated with Drona’s role as the foremost Brahmin-warrior teacher who arranged and imparted them to a heroic warrior.
