(The Fall of Vṛṣasena) — Karṇa Parva, Adhyāya 62
avīṣaṭaddāṃ tato dṛṣṭvā rādheyaṃ yudhi yodhinaḥ | bhīmasenam upāgacchan karṇabāṇaprapīḍitāḥ ||
Sanjaya said: Then, seeing Radheya (Karna) in the thick of battle, the warriors—hard-pressed by Karna’s arrows and unable to endure him—went up to Bhimasena. The scene underscores how overwhelming prowess on the battlefield can drive even seasoned fighters to seek the strongest support among their own, turning the tide through collective reliance rather than isolated valor.
