Sañjaya said: “Do that deed, O Rādhēya—like another wielder of the thunderbolt. O heroic son of Rādhā, in this great battle you must surely accomplish today the warrior’s task that those two could not accomplish.”
संजय उवाच
The verse urges decisive action aligned with a warrior’s role: one should undertake the necessary deed with unwavering resolve and heroic energy, not shrinking back because others failed.
Sañjaya, narrating the battlefield events, addresses Karṇa (Rādhēya) with a rousing exhortation, comparing him to Indra the thunderbolt-bearer and pressing him to accomplish in the great combat what two others were unable to achieve.
