तत्र सिद्धा महाराज सम्पतन्तो<ब्रुवन् वच:,प्रभो! महाराज! उस समय वहाँ उड़कर आते हुए सिद्ध परस्पर इस प्रकार कहने लगे --“यह युद्ध तो सभी युद्धोंसे बढ़कर हो रहा है, अन्य सब युद्ध तो इसकी सोलहवीं कलाके भी बराबर नहीं थे
tatra siddhā mahārāja sampatanto ’bruvan vacaḥ | prabho mahārāja! tadā tatra uḍḍīya samāgatāḥ siddhāḥ parasparaṃ evam ūcuḥ—“idaṃ yuddhaṃ sarva-yuddhebhyaḥ śreṣṭhataraṃ pravartate; anyāni sarvāṇi yuddhāni tu asya ṣoḍaśīṃ kalām api na samāḥ āsan.”
Sanjaya said: There, O great king, the Siddhas—descending through the sky—spoke these words to one another: “O lord, O great king! This battle now unfolding surpasses all other battles; all former wars were not even equal to a sixteenth part of its measure.”
