ते निवृत्ता: पुनः पार्थ सर्वतः पर्यवारयन् । रणे सपत्नान् निध्नन्तं जिगीषन्तं परान् युधि,उस समय अर्जुन रणक्षेत्रमें शत्रुओंपर विजय पानेकी इच्छासे उनका संहार कर रहे थे। यह देख उन भागे हुए सैनिकोंने पुनः: लौटकर पार्थको चारों ओरसे घेर लिया
te nivṛttāḥ punaḥ pārtha sarvataḥ paryavārayan | raṇe sapatnān nidhnantaṃ jigīṣantaṃ parān yudhi ||
Sañjaya said: Those warriors who had turned back again surrounded Pārtha on every side. For in the battle Arjuna, intent on victory, was striking down his foes; seeing this, the previously fleeing soldiers returned and closed in around him.
