शिवेन ध्याहि मां ब्रह्मन् स्वस्ति चैव वदस्व मे । भवत्प्रसादादिच्छामि प्रवेष्टूं दुर्भिदां चमूम्,“ब्रह्म! आप मेरा कल्याण चिन्तन कीजिये। मुझे स्वस्ति कहकर आशीर्वाद दीजिये। मैं आपकी कृपासे ही इस दुर्भद्य सेनाके भीतर प्रवेश करना चाहता हूँ
śivena dhyāhi māṃ brahman svasti caiva vadasva me | bhavatprasādād icchāmi praveṣṭuṃ durbhidāṃ camūm ||
Sañjaya said: “O Brahmin, think of my welfare with auspiciousness and pronounce blessings upon me. Relying on your favor alone, I wish to enter this hard-to-penetrate battle-array.”
संजय उवाच
Even amid warfare, one seeks moral steadiness through auspicious intention and the blessings of the righteous; the verse highlights humility and reliance on spiritual support before undertaking a perilous act.
