Transliteration

brāhme daive tatheṣvastre yamupāsan guṇārthinaḥ

Translation

Dhṛtarāṣṭra said: “Seeking excellence and mastery, they worshipped him through Brahmanic rites, divine observances, and the discipline of weapons.”
