संजय उवाच ततः संध्यामुपास्यैव वीरो वीरावसादने । कथयन्तौ रणे वृत्तं प्रयाता रथमास्थितौ,संजय कहते हैं--राजन्! तदनन्तर वे दोनों वीर उस वीरसंहारक रणभूमिमें संध्या- वन्दन करके पुन: रथपर बैठकर युद्ध॒सम्बन्धी बातें करते हुए आगे बढ़े
sañjaya uvāca tataḥ sandhyām upāsyāiva vīro vīrāvasādane | kathayantau raṇe vṛttaṃ prayātā ratham āsthitau ||
Sañjaya said: Then, having duly performed the twilight worship, the two heroes—upon that battlefield which brings down heroes—mounted their chariot again and moved on, conversing about what had occurred in the fight. The verse underscores that even amid violence and exhaustion, they pause for prescribed devotion, holding to discipline and duty while continuing the grim work of war.
संजय उवाच
Even in the midst of war, the warriors observe Sandhyā worship, suggesting steadfast adherence to prescribed duty and inner discipline; devotion and ritual order are not abandoned even when life is dominated by conflict.
After pausing to perform the evening twilight rite, two warriors mount their chariot again and proceed, discussing the events of the battle as they move forward on the hero-destroying battlefield.
