धृष्टद्युम्नस्य द्रोणरथारोহণं सात्यकेः प्रतिरक्षणं च | Dhrishtadyumna Boards Droṇa’s Chariot; Sātyaki’s Counter-Protection

असहाय: सहायार्थी मामनुध्यातवान्‌ ध्रुवम्‌ | “अवश्य ही बहुत-से श्रेष्ठ एवं सावधानीके साथ प्रयत्नपूर्वक युद्ध करनेवाले योद्धाओंके साथ अकेले लड़ते हुए अभिमन्युने सहायताकी इच्छासे मेरा बारंबार स्मरण किया होगा

asahāyaḥ sahāyārthī mām anudhyātavān dhruvam |

Sañjaya said: Left without support and longing for help, Abhimanyu must surely have kept thinking of me again and again. Fighting alone against many eminent warriors who were battling with careful, deliberate effort, he would naturally remember me in the hope of assistance—an image that underscores both the cruelty of being overwhelmed in war and the human impulse to seek refuge in trusted allies.
