धृष्टद्युम्नस्य द्रोणरथारोহণं सात्यकेः प्रतिरक्षणं च | Dhrishtadyumna Boards Droṇa’s Chariot; Sātyaki’s Counter-Protection

नाद्याहं यदि पश्यामि का शान्तिहदयस्य मे । “प्रणाम करनेमें कुशल और पितृवर्गकी आज्ञाका पालन करनेमें तत्पर अभिमन्युको यदि आज मैं नहीं देखता हूँ तो मेरे हृदयको कया शान्ति मिलेगी?

Transliteration

nādyāhaṃ yadi paśyāmi kā śāntir hṛdayasya me |

Translation

Sañjaya said: If today I do not behold him, what peace can there be for my heart? The longing is not merely personal affection; it is the moral anxiety of one who seeks reassurance that a dutiful, respectful warrior—skilled in offering salutations and eager to obey the commands of his elders—still stands before the storm of war.
