Educational Q&A

The verse reassures that an act leading to harm can still be free from personal adharma when it is not driven by selfish intent and is situated within a larger moral-cosmic order; hence the instruction is to abandon fear and guilt.

Nārada explains that the tear-drops he collected will transform into self-born diseases that will destroy already lifeless beings, and he consoles the addressed person that no adharma will accrue to them, urging them not to fear.
