Sañjaya said: “Again and again Saubhadra—slayer of enemy heroes—fills me with exhilaration. Even as he ranges across the battlefield, this son of Subhadrā delights me exceedingly.”

The verse highlights a classical epic ethic: genuine kṣatriya valor can command admiration even amid hostility. Sañjaya’s repeated joy at Abhimanyu’s prowess underscores respect for courage and martial excellence as a dharmic ideal in war.
Sañjaya, narrating the battle to Dhṛtarāṣṭra, describes Abhimanyu (Saubhadra) moving through the fight and striking down enemy champions. Witnessing this, Sañjaya says he is repeatedly thrilled and greatly delighted by Abhimanyu’s performance on the battlefield.
