शूराणां युध्यमानानां निघ्नतामितेरतरम् । संग्रामस्तुमुलो राजन् प्रावर्तत सुदारुण:,राजन! युद्धमें तत्पर हो एक-दूसरेपर घातक प्रहार करते हुए उन शूरवीरोंमें अत्यन्त दारुण एवं भयंकर संघर्ष होने लगा
śūrāṇāṃ yudhyamānānāṃ nighnatām itaretaram | saṃgrāmas tumulo rājan prāvartata sudāruṇaḥ ||
Sañjaya said: “O King, as the heroes fought on—striking one another down with deadly blows—a tumultuous battle arose, exceedingly harsh and terrifying.” The verse underscores the moral weight of war: valor and resolve here manifest as mutual destruction, revealing how combat, once unleashed, becomes a relentless and dreadful force.
संजय उवाच
