Karna said: “O king, this mighty-armed Bhīmasena will never abandon the battle while he yet lives. And, O tiger among men, he will not tolerate these lion-roars raised by your warriors.”
कर्ण उवाच
The verse highlights the kṣatriya ideal of steadfastness in battle: a true warrior does not abandon the fight while alive, and responds to provocation (such as triumphant war-cries) with determined action rather than tolerance.
Karna, addressing the king, assesses Bhīma’s temperament and resolve, warning that Bhīma will not withdraw from combat and will react fiercely to the army’s loud lion-like shouts.
