प्रववी चानिल: शीतो दिशश्व विमला बभु: । फिर तो दो घड़ीमें वह सारा अन्धकार दूर हो गया, शीतल वायु बहने लगी और सारी दिशाएँ स्वच्छ हो गयीं

Sañjaya said: A cool breeze began to blow, and all the directions became clear and spotless—so that within a short while the enveloping darkness was dispelled. The scene signals a moment of restored clarity amid the turmoil of war, as nature itself seems to mark a transition from obscurity to discernment.

The verse uses natural imagery—cool wind and cleared directions—to suggest the return of clarity after obscurity. In the Mahābhārata’s war narrative, such shifts often underscore the ethical need for discernment (seeing rightly) amid confusion and fear.
Sañjaya reports a sudden change in the atmosphere: a cool breeze rises and the quarters become clear, implying that the darkness or haze that had covered the scene quickly lifts, marking a transition in the battlefield setting.
