स भवान् क्षत्रियगुणैर्युक्त: सर्वे: कुलोदह: । अविपक्रिद् यथा वाचं व्याहरन् नाद्य शोभसे,“तुम समस्त क्षत्रियोचित गुणोंसे सम्पन्न और इस कुलका भार वहन करनेमें समर्थ होते हुए भी आज मूर्खके समान बातें कर रहे हो, यह तुम्हें शोभा नहीं देता है
sa bhavān kṣatriya-guṇair yuktaḥ sarvaiḥ kulodvahaḥ | avipakrid yathā vācaṃ vyāharan nādya śobhase ||
Sanjaya said: “Though you are endowed with every virtue proper to a kṣatriya and are capable of upholding the burden and honor of your lineage, today you do not appear worthy—speaking words like an unthinking man. Such speech does not befit you.”
