मन्ये वज़ञधरस्यैष निनादो भैरवस्वन:

Transliteration

manye vajradharasya eṣa ninādo bhairavasvanaḥ

Translation

Yudhiṣṭhira said: “I believe this is the dreadful, thunderous roar of Vajradhara (Indra).” In the midst of war’s confusion, he interprets the terrifying sound as a divine sign—an attempt to read meaning and moral order into an overwhelming battlefield event.
