Transliteration

Translation

Sanjaya said: "Even though my father has departed to the next world, I shall strive to become free of the debt I owe him." In the midst of war and grief, the speaker frames his resolve as a moral obligation: filial duty does not end with death, and one must act so that ones conduct and offerings discharge the sacred responsibility owed to ones ancestors.
