Shloka 12

अवज्ञाय च मां नूनं॑ नृशंसेन दुरात्मना | तस्यानुबन्ध॑ द्रष्टासौ धृष्टद्युम्न: सुदारुणम्‌,“लोग काम, क्रोध, अज्ञान, हर्ष अथवा बालोचित चपलताके कारण धर्मके विरुद्ध कार्य करते तथा श्रेष्ठ पुरुषोंका अपमान कर बैठते हैं। क्रूर एवं दुरात्मा द्रुपदपुत्रने निश्चय ही मेरी अवहेलना करके यह महान्‌ पाप कर्म कर डाला है। अतः उस धृष्टद्युम्नको उस पापका अत्यन्त भयंकर परिणाम भोगना पड़ेगा

sañjaya uvāca |

avajñāya ca māṁ nūnaṁ nṛśaṁsena durātmanā |

tasyānubandhaṁ draṣṭāsau dhṛṣṭadyumnaḥ sudāruṇam ||

Sañjaya said: “That cruel and wicked man has surely shown me contempt and committed this grievous sin. Dhṛṣṭadyumna will have to face a most dreadful consequence as the aftermath of that deed.”
