पराक्रमं तयोयोधा ददृशुस्ते सुविस्मिता: । तयो: समभवद्‌ युद्ध द्रोणपाण्डवयोर्महत्‌

parākramaṃ tayor yodhā dadṛśus te suvismitāḥ | tayoḥ samabhavad yuddhaṃ droṇapāṇḍavayor mahat ||

Sañjaya said: The warriors, astonished, beheld the prowess of those two. Between Droṇa and the Pāṇḍavas there then arose a great battle—an encounter of formidable might, charged with the grave consequences of duty and war.
