उपारमन्त ते सर्वे योधा भरतसत्तम । अदृष्टपूर्व पश्यन्तस्तद्‌ युद्ध गुरुशिष्ययो:,भरतश्रेष्ठ! गुरु और शिष्यके उस अपूर्व युद्धको देखते हुए सब योद्धा संग्रामसे विरत हो गये

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca |

upāramanta te sarve yodhā bharatasattama |

adṛṣṭapūrvaṁ paśyantas tad yuddhaṁ guruśiṣyayoḥ ||

Translation

Sañjaya said: O best of the Bharatas, all those warriors ceased fighting, as they beheld that unprecedented combat between teacher and disciple—an encounter that compelled even hardened fighters to pause in awe and moral tension.
