तां गदां बहुभि: कर्ण: सुपुड्खै: सुप्रवेजितै: । प्रत्यविध्यत् पुनश्चान्यै: सा भीम॑ पुनराव्रजत्
Transliteration
tāṃ gadāṃ bahubhiḥ karṇaḥ supuṅkhaiḥ supravejitaiḥ | pratyavidhyat punaś cānyaiḥ sā bhīmaṃ punar āvrajat ||
Translation
Sañjaya said: Karṇa struck that mace again and again with many arrows—well-feathered and driven with great force—yet the mace, though checked by his shafts, still came back toward Bhīma. The scene underscores the relentless momentum of battle: skill and force meet unwavering resolve, and even repeated obstruction does not easily turn aside a determined assault.
