सातु सम्प्राप्य विश्रामं ध्वजिनी तव भारत । सुखमाप्तवती वीरमर्जुनं प्रत्यपूजयत्,भारत! आपकी सेना विश्रामका अवसर पाकर सुखका अनुभव करने लगी। उसने वीर अर्जुनकी भूरि-भूरि प्रशंसा करते हुए कहा--
sā tu samprāpya viśrāmaṃ dhvajinī tava bhārata | sukham āptavatī vīram arjunaṃ pratyapūjayat ||
Sañjaya said: O Bhārata, when your army at last obtained a respite, it felt a measure of relief. In that pause, it spoke in praise of the heroic Arjuna and paid him honor—revealing how, even amid war, courage and excellence are publicly acknowledged and become a source of morale.
संजय उवाच
Even in the harshness of battle, recognition of genuine heroism and merit functions as an ethical-social act: it strengthens collective morale and affirms the kṣatriya ideal of honoring valor, regardless of fear and fatigue.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that the Kaurava host, finding a moment of rest, felt relief and responded by acclaiming and honoring Arjuna for his heroic prowess.
