Sañjaya said: “O son of Pāṇḍu, stand together with him and with the great chariot-warriors of the Pāñcālas, and fight here—so that all your troops may be reassured and steadied in heart.”

In the midst of war, a leader’s duty includes sustaining the courage and cohesion of the whole force. Fighting is framed not merely as personal valor but as a stabilizing responsibility toward one’s troops and allies.
Sañjaya reports an instruction addressed to a Pāṇḍava: to remain together with a particular ally and the Pāñcāla great warriors, and to engage in battle at that spot so the entire army feels reassured and does not lose heart.
