Transliteration

tasya kruddhaḥ kṛpo rājan śaktiṃ cikṣepa dāruṇām

Translation

Sañjaya said: O King, Kripa, inflamed with anger at him, hurled a dreadful śakti-weapon—an act that intensifies the moral darkness of the battlefield, where wrath repeatedly overrides restraint and duty is pursued through ever more lethal means.
