Hearing the reproach of Droṇa and the Sātyaki–Pārṣata dispute

Sanjaya said: 0O King, showering volleys of arrows upon Arjuna0s head, that r01kasa checked Arjuna as he advanced straight toward him0 just as the lord of mountains, Him01laya, holds back a fierce wind. In the moral atmosphere of the war, the image underscores how even righteous resolve meets formidable resistance, and how prowess and endurance become decisive tests amid the chaos of battle.

The verse highlights steadfastness under opposition: even a powerful and purposeful advance can be halted by equally formidable force. Ethically, it reflects the battlefield test of k63atriya resolve0 courage must be matched with patience and endurance when confronted by resistance.
An unnamed r01kasa warrior showers Arjuna with hundreds of arrows, striking toward his head and thereby checking Arjuna0s forward movement. Sanjaya compares this to the Himalaya stopping a violent wind.
