दुर्योधन–द्रोणसंवादः
Arjuna-vīrya-prasaṃśā and renewed battle formation
मयि जीवति कौरव्य विषादं मा कृथा: क्वचित् | अहं जेष्यामि समरे सहितान् सर्वपाण्डवान्,कुरुनन्दन! तुम मेरे जीते-जी कभी विषाद न करो। मैं समरभूमिमें संगठित होकर आये हुए समस्त पाण्डवोंको जीत लूँगा
mayi jīvati kauravya viṣādaṃ mā kṛthāḥ kvacit | ahaṃ jeṣyāmi samare sahitān sarvapāṇḍavān, kurunandana |
Karna said: “So long as I live, O Kaurava, do not fall into despair at any time. On the battlefield I shall defeat all the Pāṇḍavas, even when they stand united—O joy of the Kurus.” In context, Karṇa offers reassurance and martial confidence to the Kaurava side, framing hope and resolve as a duty in war, while also revealing the ethical tension of pride and overconfidence amid a dharma-conflicted conflict.
