अलंबलवधः (Alaṃbala-vadhaḥ) / The Slaying of Alaṃbala and the Advance toward Karṇa

पितामहपुरोगाश्च देवा: सिद्धाश्न त॑ं विदु:

pitāmahapurogāś ca devāḥ siddhāś na taṁ viduḥ

Sañjaya said: Even the gods and the perfected sages—led by the Grandsire—did not truly comprehend him. The line underscores how extraordinary power and destiny in the war can exceed ordinary judgment, reminding the listener that moral and strategic certainty is often limited even for the wisest.
