Sañjaya said: The two Pāñcāla princes and Sātyaki, seeing Karṇa—the son of Rādhā—driving toward Arjuna’s chariot, rushed at him at once. In the ethical frame of the war, this is the swift protective response of allies who do not abandon a comrade when a formidable foe advances.

In the midst of righteous warfare, steadfast loyalty and timely protection of one’s ally are treated as duties: when a powerful adversary advances, companions respond without hesitation, embodying kṣatriya-dharma and solidarity.
Karṇa moves toward Arjuna’s chariot; immediately, the two Pāñcāla princes (Yudhāmanyu and Uttamaujā) along with Sātyaki charge forward to confront him and shield Arjuna.
