Chapter 148: Karṇa’s Pressure, Dhṛṣṭadyumna Unhorsed, and the Summoning of Ghaṭotkaca
तत: सर्वे महाराज तव योधा जयैषिण: । सिषिचु: शरधाराभि: पाकशासनिमाहवे,महाराज! उस समय विजयकी अभिलाषा रखनेवाले आपके समस्त योद्धा युद्धस्थलमें इन्द्रकुमार अर्जुनका बाणोंकी धाराओंसे अभिषेक करने लगे
tataḥ sarve mahārāja tava yodhā jayaiṣiṇaḥ | siṣicuḥ śaradhārābhiḥ pākaśāsanim āhave ||
Sañjaya said: Then, O King, all your warriors—eager for victory—poured upon Pākaśāsani (Arjuna, the son of Indra) in the battlefield a veritable consecration of arrow-showers. The scene frames war as a grim ‘abhiṣeka’: not a sacred coronation, but a violent anointing, revealing how the thirst for triumph turns ritual imagery into instruments of destruction.
