अध्याय १४८ — कर्णप्रभावः, धृष्टद्युम्नस्य विरथता, तथा घटोत्कच-आह्वानम्

इति श्रीमहाभारते द्रोणपर्वणि जयद्रथवधपर्वणि जयद्रथवधे षट्चत्वारिंशदधिकशततमो< ध्याय:,इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत द्रोणपर्वके अन्तर्गत जयद्रथवधपर्वमें जयद्रथवधविषयक एक सौ छियालीसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
iti śrīmahābhārate droṇaparvaṇi jayadrathavadhaparvaṇi jayadrathavadhe ṣaṭcatvāriṃśad-adhika-śatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ |
Sañjaya said: “Thus, in the Śrī Mahābhārata, within the Droṇa Parvan, in the sub-section concerning the slaying of Jayadratha, the one-hundred-and-forty-sixth chapter—dealing with Jayadratha’s death—comes to its close.” This colophon marks the completion of the episode, underscoring the moral weight of a vowed act carried through amid the brutal demands of war.
