धृष्टद्युम्नस्य द्रोणाभिमुख्यं तथा सात्यकि-कर्ण-समागमः

Dhṛṣṭadyumna’s advance toward Droṇa and the Sātyaki–Karṇa confrontation

यूपकेतो निरीक्ष्यैतन्न मार्महसि गर्लितुम्‌ न हि धर्ममविज्ञाय युक्त गर्हयितुं परम्‌,'यूपध्वज भूरिश्रवाजी! इस बातपर ध्यान देकर आपको मेरी निन्दा नहीं करनी चाहिये। धर्मके स्वरूपको जाने बिना दूसरे किसीकी निन्‍्दा करना उचित नहीं है

yūpaketo nirīkṣyaitan na mārmāhasi garhitum | na hi dharmam avijñāya yuktaṁ garhayituṁ param ||

Sañjaya said: “O Yūpaketu, having considered this matter, you should not censure me. For without understanding what dharma truly is, it is not proper to reproach another.”
