Sañjaya said: With those two heroes of mighty strength at his side, Arjuna’s prowess and martial energy were further invigorated; for he was accompanied by Śrī Kṛṣṇa and Bhīmasena, and also by Sātyaki—the bull among the Śinis. The verse underscores how righteous resolve and effectiveness in war are strengthened by noble allies and steadfast support.

Strength and effectiveness—especially in a dharmic struggle—are amplified by the presence of virtuous, capable allies. The verse highlights the ethical importance of right companionship: noble support can steady resolve and increase one’s capacity to act rightly under pressure.
Sañjaya describes Arjuna’s rising confidence and power in battle because he is supported by key allies: Kṛṣṇa (his charioteer and guide), Bhīma (a principal warrior), and Sātyaki (a leading Yādava/Śini hero). Their combined presence boosts Arjuna’s momentum in the Drona Parva conflict.
