तदुत्सज्य धनुश्छिन्न॑ं सौभद्र: परवीरहा । उद्धबर्ह सितं खड्गमाददान: शरावरम्,तब शशत्रुवीरोंका संहार करनेवाले सुभद्राकुमारने उस कटे हुए धनुषको फेंककर चमचमाती हुई तलवार खींच ली और ढाल हाथमें ले ली
tad utsajya dhanuś chinnaṃ saubhadraḥ paravīrahā | udbabhār śitaṃ khaḍgam ādadhānaḥ śarāvaram ||
Sañjaya said: Casting aside his bow, now cut and useless, Saubhadra—slayer of enemy heroes—drew his keen, gleaming sword and took up his shield. Thus, in the press of battle, he shifted weapons without hesitation, maintaining his resolve to confront adharma with steadfast courage.
