Rātri-yuddhe Droṇasya prahāraḥ — Bhīmasenasya dhārtarāṣṭra-śūrānām nigrahaḥ
Night Battle: Droṇa’s Assault and Bhīma’s Suppression of Dhārtarāṣṭra Warriors
तद युद्धमासीत् सुमहद् घोरं देवासुरोपमम् | द्रोणस्प च महाराज भीमस्य च महात्मन:,महाराज! द्रोणाचार्य तथा महामनस्वी भीमसेनका वह महान युद्ध देवासुर-संग्रामके समान भयंकर था
tad yuddham āsīt sumahat ghoraṃ devāsuro'pamam | droṇasya ca mahārāja bhīmasya ca mahātmanaḥ ||
Sañjaya said: That battle was exceedingly vast and terrifying, like the legendary clashes between gods and demons. O King, the encounter between Droṇa and the great-souled Bhīmasena rose to a scale that seemed beyond human measure—an image of war’s overwhelming force and the grave moral weight carried by those who fight it.
