स तान् विद्राव्य कौन्तेय: संख्येअमित्रान् दुरासदान् | सुपर्ण इव वेगेन पक्षिराडत्यगाच्चमूम्,कुन्तीकुमार भीमसेन युद्धस्थलमें उन दुर्जय शत्रुओंको भगाकर पक्षिराज गरुडके समान वेगसे उस सेनाको लाँघ गये
sa tān vidrāvya kaunteyaḥ saṅkhye 'mitrān durāsadān | suparṇa iva vegena pakṣirāḍ atyagāc chamūm ||
Sañjaya said: Having routed those hard-to-overcome enemies in the thick of battle, Bhīmasena, the son of Kuntī, surged forward with the speed of Suparṇa (Garuḍa) and leapt past the opposing host. The verse highlights decisive martial energy directed toward a righteous objective: breaking the enemy’s resistance without hesitation, as part of the Pandavas’ grim duty within the dharmic framework of war.
