निग्रहं धर्मराजस्य प्रकरिष्यति संयुगे । 'द्रोणाचार्य संग्राममें धृष्टद्यम्मका वध किये बिना किसी प्रकार धर्मराजको कैद नहीं कर सकेंगे”

Transliteration

nigrahaṁ dharmarājasya prakarīṣyati saṁyuge |

Translation

Sañjaya said: “In the thick of battle, he will attempt to seize (and restrain) Dharmarāja.” The line underscores the Kaurava strategy of subduing Yudhiṣṭhira as a decisive ethical and political blow, treating the capture of the righteous king as a means to break the opposing side’s resolve and order.
