Transliteration

rudhirokṣitasavarṇajistais tadā yodhanaṃ babhau

Translation

Sañjaya said: Then that battlefield, stained and darkened by blood, appeared grim and dreadful—its very color transformed by the slaughter, reflecting the terrible moral cost of war.
