Droṇa’s Resolve to Restrain Yudhiṣṭhira and Arjuna’s Protective Vow (द्रोणस्य युधिष्ठिरनिग्रह-प्रयत्नः)
नाकारो गूहितुं शक््यो बृहस्पतिसमैरपि । तस्मात्तव सुतो राजन प्रह्ृष्टो वाक्यमब्रवीत्,बृहस्पतिके समान बुद्धिमान् पुरुष भी अपने आकारको छिपा नहीं सकते। राजन! इसीलिये आपका पुत्र अत्यन्त प्रसन्न होकर इस प्रकार बोला--
nākāro gūhituṁ śakyo bṛhaspati-samair api | tasmāt tava suto rājan prahṛṣṭo vākyam abravīt ||
Sañjaya said: “Even those equal to Bṛhaspati cannot conceal their true bearing and outward form. Therefore, O King, your son—delighted and exultant—spoke these words.”
