mumohā sārathis tasya rathaśaktyā samāhataḥ | sa rathopastham āsādya muhūrtaṃ saṃnyasīdat ||
Sañjaya said: Struck by that spear hurled from the chariot, his charioteer became dazed and lost consciousness. Reaching the seat of the chariot, he sat there silently for a short while, overwhelmed by the blow—an image of how, in the violence of war, even the skilled attendants who sustain a warrior’s duty can suddenly be incapacitated, disrupting the very order of battle.
