धृतराष्ट्र-संजय-संवादः — सात्यकि-अलम्बुसयोर्युद्धवर्णनम्
Dhṛtarāṣṭra–Saṃjaya Dialogue; Account of Sātyaki vs Alambusa
शतमेकेन विव्याध शतेनैकं च पत्रिणाम्,वे एक बाणसे सैकड़ों वीरोंको और सैकड़ों बाणोंसे एक-एक वीरको घायल करने लगे। जिस प्रकार भगवान् पशुपति पशुओंका संहार कर डालते हैं, उसी प्रकार सात्यकिने हाथीसवारों और हाथियोंको, घुड़सवारों और घोड़ोंको तथा घोड़े और सारथिसहित रथियोंको मार डाला
sañjaya uvāca | śatam ekena vivyādha śatenaikaṃ ca patriṇām | paśupatir yathā devo paśūn saṃharate tathā | sātayakis tu nāgāśvān nāgāśvarathināṃ tathā | hayān sārathibhiḥ sārdhaṃ rathinaś ca nyapātayat ||
Sanjaya said: With a single arrow he pierced a hundred, and with a hundred arrows he struck down each of a hundred warriors. As the god Paśupati destroys the beasts, so Sātyaki cut down elephant-riders along with their elephants, horsemen along with their horses, and chariot-warriors together with their horses and charioteers—an overwhelming slaughter in the fury of battle.
