Sañjaya said: The foremost heroes in the Pāṇḍava host, filled with exhilaration, tried to check Droṇācārya when they saw him pursuing Yuyudhāna. Then, closing in upon Hārdikya, they confronted that excellent chariot among chariots—seeking to restrain the onrush and uphold their side’s duty in the chaos of battle.

Even amid exhilaration and fury, warriors act within the frame of kṣatriya-dharma: protecting comrades, checking an overwhelming foe, and meeting force with disciplined resistance rather than panic.
Droṇa is seen charging after Yuyudhāna (Sātyaki). The leading Pāṇḍava fighters, heartened by the moment, attempt to block Droṇa’s advance; they also close in upon Hārdikya (Kṛtavarman), confronting his renowned chariot in the press of battle.
